Arthur's palace is located in Bolderberg near Zonhoven featuring the De Wijers nature reserve, also known as the land of 1001 ponds. Bolderberg is named after the hill of the same name. You walk through heathlands and between the many fishing ponds and you’ll discover one of the most beautiful views of Limburg. Straight out of the gate from Arthur's Palace you can find a connection with various walking routes at domain Bovy and domain De Kluis, only within a few minutes’ walk. For the kids you will also find a playground and petting zoo here at Bovy.

Cycling and mountain biking
Arthur's Palace is near the F5 bicycle highway. The villa is also a great base for exploring the ponds of Central Limburg, the fruit orchards of Haspengouw, the forest in the Kempen just of North Limburg or the hills of Hageland with the cycle route network (via nodes 301,302 or 94). Even bustling Hasselt is a nice trip with half an hour of cycling as well as Bokrijk a well know open air museum with vast playgrounds.
But the mountain biker is not left out in the cold either. Arthur's palace is located near the green mountain bike loop of Heusden-Zolder. And if you like an extra challenge, you can brave the MTB course on the adventure mountain at B-Mine in Beringen.
Circuit Zolder
Bolderberg is about a 6-minute drive from the racing Circuit Zolder. The circuit organizes various activities from motorsport to cycling and BMX. Barely a kilometer from Arthur's Palace, you will also find numerous cozy brasseries and cafés with open-air terraces in the village centre of Bolderberg. You will also find a bakery, supermarket, an authentic Frituur serving the famous Belgian fries, a sushi place, an ice cream parlor, a newsagent, a pharmacy, a bicycle repair shop, ...
For the children
There is certainly something fun to do for the children in the area. Domain Bovy with its spacious playgrounds and kids’ zoo is located only 3 kilometers from Arthur's Palace. A nice place where you can enjoy ice cream and pancakes with your kids.
The former mining terrill in Beringen is also a nice day trip. The hill has been transformed into a true adventure mountain for kids. They can climb and slide as much as they want to.
Kids and parents can also indulge themselves in Saraland, an indoor pool in Houthalen-Helchteren. They can swim, romp in the indoor playground, or play mini golf.
